Rant
I can’t seem to stop looking at things to buy.. why can’t I just have everything?
Having two hobbies kills your income, photography and biking.
Riding Thursday… hopefully, Santa Ana river down to the beach, swim and ride back.
I don’t have enough time in the day to do what I want
I want to read more, but I’m still waiting for my book order to come in.
I still havn’t watched The Dark Knight, and Pineapple Express.
I hate it when people don’t flush.
I hate work in the morning.
I need to sell some stuff but people don’t want to buy it.
Definitely need a new phone.
UCLA starts in a few weeks, but I move in next week.
Going to throw as many parties as I can without affecting my school.
I’m starting to watch TV again and that is not good.
I get bored at home during Summer.
Other than all these rants, life is good.
Just things…
Well I havn’t blogged recently and I’m beginning to get lazy. I havn’t really done much exciting things except on Labor day I was at the UCLA football game vs Tennessee… I must say it was the greatest game of all times! 27 to 24. Anyways, you had to see it to believe it.
Summer is coming to an end soon. I move in on the 18th of September into my dorm room, hoping that my room mates are chill. UCLA will be exciting! And hopefully I can still take part in photography while studying Civil Engineering.
I’m going to be doing a wedding rehearsal photoshoot tonight at Costa Mesa in preparation for the actual wedding event on Saturday. I hope that my pictures will come out dandy!
It’s a awfully hot day today and all I did was look up things to buy for my fixed gear bicyle and read “Eclipse” by Stephanie Meyers. In an hour I need to get ready to go do the shoot!
Schedule
I’ll be training for another photoraphy position on August 30th for a wedding that will be on Sept 6th. But before that I’ll be training some more on the 3rd. I hope everything goes well. If you havn’t checked out my website with new updated pictures : www.andrewliu.us. Also I’ll be doing some shoots for my portfolio until I head to UCLA. My move in date is the 20th, so hopefully I can get a lot of shots by then.
Mira Loma
So I’ve stayed here at my brother’s pad in Mira Loma and I however could not sleep at night because it is so darn hot… I keep sweating and shiet, so I had to relocate myself from my bedroom to the living room where theres a ceiling fan. Oh wells, I’m heading back home today this evening after work. Where I work is extremely humid too.. sigh, well not extremely but I just don’t like it. Hopefully the place I’m work at next week will be better. Yes yes… I’m a secret agent. You know my secret now. Alright, I have to eat breakfast before I go out and fight crime, can’t go out fighting with an empty stomach… Cheers!
What have I been doing?
Well… I’ve been reading books lately.. Currently on this one book “Twilight” by Stephenie Meyer. This is a good book that everyone must read. I won’t spoil it for anyone…
I’ve been doing photoshoots lately too, which you can check out at my website @ www.andrewliu.us.
I have a job now, doing high school portraits at schools.
Going into training with iStudios.
Lots of things!!
Photoshoot
It was a long day, woke up at 7:30 am to get ready for a photoshoot. I thought it was successful, took a lot of good pictures. You can check out some photos at www.andrewliu.us. Tomorrow will be another long day. Training starts at 9 am till 4 pm. Sigh… oh well! Cash money flow!
Some things..
Yesterday, I had to wake up at 6:30 AM cause I had to head to the California Speedway in Fontana to capture some motorcycles zooming at top speeds. I have not woken up that early in awhile, since school ended… My friend was in one of the tracks so I got a few shots of him. It was hot as fawk and I got a little burned and sweated like a pig! But it was fun and gave me good practice at panning and sports photography. Some pictures are in my portfolio at AndrewLiu Photography
After taking the pictures, me, my brother, and the homies ate at the Yardhouse at “The Shoppes” in Chino Hills. Food was good, but it was smaller than the Brea one. I heard that they don’t have as much drinks as the one in Brea too, but overall experience at this Yardhouse was not that bad. Then I ended the night at Barnes and Noble reading “The Five People You Meet In Heaven.” It was a really good book that everyone should read. I did however watched the movie a long time ago not knowing that there was a book to it. But I didn’t remember much of the movie so it didn’t ruin that much of the book.
While I was reading the book, some kid caught my attention… Observing people is one of our human natures. Just some random thought that I was thinking: Kids are so energetic, every movement they make has some agility to it. But as people get older into the teens and maybe a little past that, they start to relax and chill, and not have so many quick movmenets. But then when people get older and older… movements become agile and sloooooooooww. Just some things that people don’t always think about. Reading keeps the mind going! GO READ!
5.8 Earthquake! down to 5.4
One of the most scariest moments of my life! Living in Diamond Bar living close to the epicenter, 2 miles southwest of Chino Hills! I was scared shitless! A few things fell from the wall and I thought the house was about to collapse! I got my camera ready incase another earthquake strikes where I’ll have to run outside… FUCK this was the second earthquake of the day too. A 3.1 earthquake hit Barstow. I was seriously running back and forth.. literally.. running back and forth. If there was mud on the floor, you can see my footprints going… back and forth…
A few tips when theres an earthquake:
If indoors, duck and drop under a desk or something sturdy. I however didn’t think about that and wanted to run outside while I have a perfectly sturdy desk right in front of me. If outside, stay clear of buildings and powerlines! If you’re driving.. get the fuck outta the car, but try to park somewhere safe where you’ll be able to stop and get out of the car or you can stay in… If you’re at the beach…. get out of the water and try to stay inland! Damn I wonder how the people at the beach feel…
I hope everyone’s safe… I’m gonna stay prepared and take all my valuables if I have to run. Or I might just have to take my laptop under the table with me.
There’s gonna be a huge one coming up soon, bigger than this one. A 8.5 magnitude earthquake and would probably last between 1.5 – 2.5 minutes, experts says. You need to prepare 4-5 gallons of water per person because each person would need 1 gal per day for 4-5 days. Look at this 5.8 as an earthquake drill… go to Costco and buy water! BE PREPARED.
New updates… The earthquake had been downsized to 5.4 magnitude. And as of now.. theres about 27 aftershocks? You might be able to feel it but maybe not… theres a chance that the aftershock will be greater than 5.4!
Dead zone
Yeah, I havn’t posted much or any at all for that matter… I’ve been in a dead zone lately, just trying to get by with my classes which ends this coming Wednesday. I got two finals… which I’m just trying to get a passing grade on now that I don’t care anymore. I found out that UCLA doesn’t accept grades for transferring but just credits, so everything is all gravy. Had a fun ass weekend though, no doubt about that… I just can’t wait till I get the video camera that’s supposed to come in soon. I’ll try to make some videos! I got the motor sports photoshoot coming up which will keep me busy on Friday. Then I got a fashion photoshoot on August 4th, and hopefully everything works out great. I hope no one flakes and lags cause that’ll kill everything! Then I go to my training on the 5th or 6th? I still have to check up on that. I’ll be working as a photography assistant for photography company that shoots for schools. Hopefully it turns out what I hoped it’ll be. But anyways, I’ll have to study today and look at some mags… toddles ……
